Berea College Lean Practitioner Training

Foundation Level Lean Practitioner Training – 2-6 October 2017, St Andrews – Find out more here.

Our Lean Practitioner training is offered on two levels: Foundation and Advanced. Foundation Level training comprises a theory programme, a practical programme, and an experience-building programme. Advanced Level Lean training is also available for those who have completed their Foundation Level training with St Andrews Lean, or who have suitable equivalent experience.

The aim of Foundation Level Parts 1 and 2 is to introduce you to Lean, the St Andrews Model, and equip you with the tools and techniques to run your own Rapid Improvement Events. The practical element allows you to apply your knowledge in an informal, developmental setting, where we will be on hand to offer support and feedback. Following on from this, we will mentor you in your institution/organisation as you perform the role of an RIE facilitator. We will gradually hand over more and more responsibility to you, so that by the final RIE of the programme you will be leading the improvement project entirely by yourself.

The Advanced Lean programme is aimed at experienced facilitators who would like to develop their strategic-level Lean capabilities. The topics covered include: stakeholder management, change at organisational level, risk analysis, and sustainment of continuous improvement activities. There will also be sessions that will focus on facilitation skills, creative thinking, team-based problem solving, and motivating others.

More details about each programme are available by following the links in the sidebar.
